Dtc (co225)

hey guys, so here's another DTC topic...

so today, while installing new axle seals in the front, it seems i must have bumped something in the left wheel, because now i have this DTC (CO225)

- Left front wheel speed sensor - Open circuit condition*
*Keep in mind that the sensor itself may not be the problem. Unplug the electrical connector and check the resistance of the sensor first; if the resistance is within specs, carefully inspect the wiring harness leading to the sensor.

is what the book said.. i checked over the harness, and will check the resistance tomorrow.

it seems there is a bit of seepage coming from the sensor itself. i don't recall this being there when i started the job.

so my real question is.. how do i fix this? take it to the dealer and pay an arm and a leg to have them look at it? or can i just replace the sensor and be on my way?

thanks. Mike.

Re: Dtc (co225)

What does the contact wheel look like? The part the magnetic pick up on the sensor reads.
