rear a//c

My pressure line to the rear a/c on my 1999 Astro van AWD has a leak.
I would like to disconnect the rear a/c. Is that alright. How do I do that?Has anyone done this?
Need instructions.
Can someone tell me where to find a daigram for the a/c?
Thanks,
Lee Painting

Re: rear a//c

Why not fix the line- I cut out the bad section and use swageloks to join together the remaining sections- works great- or you can install an in-line filter- to serve as a union- serves the purpose if the leak is on the liquid line...

My dad had that problem on mine before I bought it from him When it was at the dealer getting fixed after hitting a deer. He had the guy cut the line and weld it closed I belive in the back and some place up front by the fire wall.
