Anyone notice lately, the women in NHRA are winning? I LIKE IT!

Conrgratulations to Ashley Force for being the first lady to win a F/C meet! Congrats to Melanie Troxel for being the 2nd one, three weeks later! Hillary Will did okay at Bristol. It's only a matter of time before SHE wins one, too!

And thanks to Shirley Muldowney for paving the way for these modern girl-warriors. Cha-Cha was AWESOME! I've met her a couple tiomes at the track, but I remember seeing her win a T/F meet in the early '80s. She was a champ, too!

Okay, so nobody else really cares... That's cool. I can deal with it. But... I DID "call" that one, eh? Hillary wins at Topeka! If you've never met her in person, too bad. She is cute as a button. A "real person", too. We were talking with her at VMP last Fall about the nitro Harleys. You could see the fear and respect in her eyes when she said "Those guys are CRAZY!" That coming from a woman that's about 5' tall and weighs MAYBE 100 lbs., soaking wet, and drives a 330 MPH T/F car! Gotta love it!
