Need a code to unlock my door

I recently bought a 2004 F-150. It has the number pads on the door. The dealer didn't have keyless remotes or code for the key pad. How can I get them, other than go to a dealer for $200?

Re: Need a code to unlock my door

have you tried talking to whoever you bought the truck from? They didn't know?

First thing you do is disable your locks.

Re: Need a code to unlock my door

I had the same problem with my '05 F-150. Sometimes the code will be written under the hood somewhere or under the driver's side of the dash (at least I'm told). I had no such luck. I ended up going to the dealer and they plugged it in to get the code. I called around and prices ranged from $30 to $45 to get it. It was worth the money to me.

Sometimes it will be written in the owner's manual too.
