Looking to buy new car around $24000, what is best for performance and looks?ACURA_RSX_TYPE_S 03-05-2003, 11:01 AM I am looking to buy a new car before i head off to college. I won't spend anymore than about $24000. I want to know what is the best car all around(looks, performance, cost). I'm kinda set on an RSX Type-S right now, but would like others input to help me make my decision. I have looked at other cars such as WRX, MAZDASPEED Protege, SER V-Spec, Neon SRT-4, but haven't really found anything comparable to the RSX. I like how everything is stock and there is plenty of room for upgrades, where with say the neon or WRX already have intercoolers and turbos and only put out a little more hp. Let me know what you think. itsmeek 03-07-2003, 07:24 AM not to diss my baby, but the neon looks like it's going to be a badass. sure your right, these cars already have turbos on them, however, nobody says you can't go w/a bigger turbo, and nobody says you can't improve the internals on these cars. however..you are right, they don't make that much more horsepower then the rsx-s. but..again, i want to turbo or supercharge my rsx-s (forget about nos, it's a waste of time and money for daily driving) anyhow, the rsx cost me about 20500 american then the turbo which i will install myself will cost about 4k not to mention the rest of the internals that i will change. and yeah, i know that the clutch can handle this, but i will change the clutch as well. for someone who is not installing these things theirselves, it'll cost way more then that. and oh yeah, i WILL NOT touch my baby until the warranty period is up...if you get my drift. so i'll basically be getting my ass handed to me for about 5 years, i just got a new vette so i'll probably be handing the rsx-s down anyway. just some food for thought.
