Upper intake rattle.

I have a rattling in the upper intake on my 95 Lesabre.
What is that and how do I stop it?

Does this occur during acceleration or at idle?

Are you sure the noise is coming from the intake itself? Take a long screw driver and place the end on the intake and put the handle against your ear. Move around the intake and valve covers to see if you can pinpoint where the noise is loudest and us post back. ( Poor mans stethascope )

Iam about 99 per cent sure of it. I thought I read somewhere that there was some sort of check valve under the upper intake.

PCV valve is all I can think of. About $4 to try a new one.

Could be that the balance shaft is having some kind of problem. It runs through the valley.
