Question Steering Wheel Vibration

Just bought a '01 Prizm - 95K miles. It has pretty good tires. Just had them balanced. Between 60 and 70 - there's some vibration (slight shaking) in the steering wheel - but not in the "seat of my pants". Since tires were just balanced - could this be a "tire issue" or something else in the front end?

Sometimes I feel the wheel move side to side on very slow turns too.

Hey guys - any ideas out there????

Re: Steering Wheel Vibration

If its when your stopping then there a good chance you have a warped rotor.

Re: Steering Wheel Vibration

Tires could be out of round from not rotating them?

Re: Steering Wheel Vibration

Sorry it's been a while since my last post - I found out the problem was in the tires. Replaced them and all is perfect now. I figure the previous owner must have hit one too many curbs and a belt shifted in the tire.
