CTSY Fuse Keeps Blowing?

One day my door locks quit working on my 1995 Pontiac Grand Am SE 2 Door. I started looking at my fuses and found that my CTSY fuse was blown. So i tried to replace it 3 times and each time i try to put the fuse in the fuse blows before it is even half way in. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem. My dad thinks its a short, but they were just working the day before and it doesn't make any since. Please help me if you can. Thanks!

Re: CTSY Fuse Keeps Blowing?

Welcome to AF.

Does sound like a short for sure, fuses just dont blow for no reason. It would have to be in the curtisy fuse circuit.

So what did you do the day it started blowing ?

Not sure what all is on that circuit, but I can probly find you a wire diagram if you need, let me know and I'll send you a link.

Re: CTSY Fuse Keeps Blowing?

I figured it out. Some how my girlfriend dropped a bobbie pin inbetween my ciagrette lighter and the mechanism its self. I took it out of the spot and now everything works again. Thanks for replying so fast xeroinfinity.

Thanks again,
Kyle
