Speed sensor & ciggarate plugs not working...

Hi...

I have couple of problems with my Toyota camry 2004.

The speedo meter is not working all of a sudden.(detected speed sensor error with check engine light on).it stays on '0' miles/hr and on the same day my ciggarate plug in's are not workin..I am nt able to use my navigator and phone charger.
Can you help me tracking ouit what the problem is and how much would dat approximately cost me to repair this.

Thanks in advance
Yarra

I would start with checking fuses.

If fuses are OK you need to read your code. It is there for a reason.

Just a hunch here, but if you plugged in your phone charger and then all these things stopped working, I also would check the fuses. I have known of 3 instances now where defective cell phone chargers have blown fuses in Camrys. If you find a blown fuse and replace it, and your problem is solved, don't be surprised if when you plug your phone charger back in, the problem resurfaces. If that is the case, toss the phone charger and get a new one.
