Well.. I am trying to install one of those third brake light flashers I purchased from signalz4u.com. In order for it to work the rear deck has to be removed and the wire that connects the third brake light unplugged and spliced.
Presently the deck is off and wires are exposed from the car's lead. Now after the main wire to ensure it was a lead I am left with a black and white wire. Together they make up the lead as far as the voltage meter goes. (I thought it as going to be the white only)
Now on the actual flasher I have a green ground with a self tapping screw (Easy), a red lead and a black. Directions are very simple stating Red Lead to Lead on car and then the blck to the black. This method is just not working. I tried numerous ways and my fuse still blows so I am bck to regular brake ligts for now. Perhaps I have the wrong wire lead.. but it was coming the third brake light right under the rear deck.
