74 Nova front end swap to a 72 front end

Does anyone know if is a bad idea to change the front of my 74 nova to a 72 front end just to give it more of a "muscle" car look, will it decrease in value in any way? and what parts would i need to buy for the change and approx. how much will it cost? thanks.

Re: 74 Nova front end swap to a 72 front end

Edgar, I also have the same issue with no answers. I have a '73 ss and would like to change to '72 and earlier front end/bumpers. As far as I know, the swap has been done before, however i do not know the details. If you find something out please let me know. Thanks

Re: 74 Nova front end swap to a 72 front end

I have had both style of Novas. I will list the basics below.

SAME.
1. Hood & hinges
2. Fenders. side marker lites are diffrent.
3. Inner fender
4. Radiator support, hood latch. etc.

NOT THE SAME.
1. Bumpers, brackets
2. Grille, headlight trim, plastic filler spacer.
3. Parking lite wiring

hope this helps
