I have a mis fire and have narrowed down which cylinder it is. What is the next best step in fixing this. Should I change spark plug...I was thinking about changing the ignition wires...is this a difficult task?

If it's a single cylinder doing it, yes, plugs and wires would be a good next step. Give more details on it if you have any.

Difficulty depends on which engine. the 4cyl is super easy. the 6 is more of a pain.

If you are changing out plugs or wires, change all of them. Get yourself a spark plug socket with the rubber inside so that you don't drop the plug as you're lowering it into it's hole. You'll also need a long extension to get down to the plugs. Remember to use antiseize on the threads, and dielectric grease between the plugs and the wires, and the wires and where they connect.

Unfortunately, I have a 6 cylinder. The 3 up front should be easy, how do I get to the 3 back cylinders?

to do the rear you can either contort your hands into awkward shapes, use a bunch of different types of extensions (1/4", 3/8", wobble, and the spring extensions that bend), and take an hour, maybe more; Or you can take the intake manifold off.

After doing it using method 1, i highly recommend method 2.

Put in iridium plugs if you can afford them, so you never have to worry about them again. At least use platinums, which I think are the recommended type anyway.
