Higher wattage bulbs?

Have ya'll tried like 100W/90W headlight bulbs in the 97-03 GPs? I was debating swapping over the headlights as well as the fogs to higher wattage bulbs to try to get more light on the road. Has anyone used the higher wattage? And have you had any problems? I've heard of some cars having melted wiring harnesses to the bulbs due to the higher wattage since the harness couldn't carry the proper current safely.
