Re: Fuel filter

How bout not being lazy! Your gonna have to look sooner or later. It depends on the model year of your truck... Somtimes its on the drivers side frame rail, or its in the tank...

*Edit, 2004 seemed to be a possible year change, on those years its been both places

Re: Fuel filter

All Chevy And Gmc Trucks I Have Owned (10 In Total, Including 2 Suburbans And 2 Tahoes) Have Had The Inline Fuel Filter Inside The Lh Chassis Rail, Right Under Between The Box And The Cabin. All Have Been Similar In Size And Location. Also, Removal And Installation Procedures The Same.

I too have found this to be the case....filters in the tank are nothing but coarse screens to keep the bugs out of fuel pump....

Well my 04 Z71's only fuel filter is in the tank... I wish mine was on the frame rail.

Re: Fuel filter

All 2004 and up are in the fuel tank with the exception of flex-fuel which is on the frame rail.

Have a good one,

Don
