97 Contour Vibrates and Shakes

Recently, I had the motor mounts replaced in my daughter's 97 Ford Contour. The car is a 4 CYL, Auto Trans. with 85,000 miles. When we got the car back it vibrates and shakes while idling or while driving it. At a higher speed, the vibration ( shaking ) lessens. The timing belt broke three days ago. Problem is still there after belt was replaced. Car's performance seems to be OK. Any clues? Thanks

If the belt broke on you, that means that some of the inside components could be done. Was it just your belt that was replaced?

The zetec is a non-interference motor, so your valvetrain is fine.

Id didn't know that, I thought all four bangers were interference. Good to know, thanks.
