6 liter vortec
am looking into the 6 litre vortec from a 95 gmc savana for a possible swap into an 86 camaro.. anyone have any specs on this motor,, i'm thinking intake swap to carb and a cam to start,, any sugjestions..

I vote "no" on the carb conversion. The performance parts designed for the LS series engines are designed for fuel injection. It will be far easier to diagnose problems with the engine as well. IMO
EDIT: I just seen the '95 part......what 6 liter in '95?

its from a 95 gmc savana,,cargo van.. 6 ltr. vortec. strong ass motor.. was thinking with a cam and intake, headers,, good exaust, might get some power out of it.. camaro has a 305 in it now,, stock.,, i cant find much info on the motor though.. ls2 maybe.. cubes. 4 maybe 6 bolt main?..

deffinately not an ls2 if it came out of a 95. The ls2 didn't come out until 2005.
Its an LQ4 engine. Iron block, aluminum heads, 325 hp, 370 ft-lbs.
I think thats pretty much the same engine Curtis has in his car? Anyone know for sure? I think I remember him saying he has an LQ9 which is the high output version.
