'97 sunfire sparking/rough idle/stalling

Hey guys,
Alright, ive got a 1997 sunfire 2.2l auto, and i just cant figure out whats wrong with it. Its started running pretty bad/not starting sometimes after I had Best Buy install a remote start/keyless entry system in it a few years ago. Well it kept blowing out ignition switches and tripping a theft code. So I got fed up try and try to fix it, and just bought another car. Now I'm in collage and need money, so im selling my new car(cause i can get more money for it) and trying to get the sunfire running. Well its sat for about a year now. So I went through, and ripped out the entire remote start/keyless entry system since thats when it seemed to have all started, and it still wouldnt run. So i did some more tests, and swopped out the ignition switch(again), the ignition module, coil packs, plugs, and wires. After doing this, it started and ran( for ~20 miles ), but it felt like something was holding it back. I figured it was just because it had been sitting for a year and just needed to be cleared out. Well now its back to were it was. it cranks fine, but wont turn over. But I did notice a decent size spark coming from the ground on the block just below the ECT sensor/thermostat. One ground goes to the sensor on the ignition module, and three more wires run down towards the starter, but not sure if thats where they do go. Any ideas? Also i dont have the module plate bolted to the back of the engine because i plan to relocate it to make it easier to get to, so would that make a difference? I dont see how it would cause i ran a ground wire from the place it was originally connected to, to the plate, and it doesnt seem to help. Any ideas? The list of parts are shorter that i havnt swopped out on this engine, and im at my witts end with it, so please help. Thanks in advance.
