Bug drifting

Yep, I have driffed alot in my 64 beetle, my 76 beetle, and many new beetles. The 64 is a little scary because of the swing-axle.

it sounds like the bugs w/the irs suspenshion drift better. which suspenshion is better for the front king and link or ball joint which handles better

front suspension

For Baja Bugs that really see some dirty, the King and Link is better because it is stronger. For a street car, stock height or lowered, the Ball Joints are better.

Thanks for the info. My dream ride is a 200hp VW thats set up for drifting on the street, although some one told me they might not react fast enouf for good control

Sounds good but you probbly won't need 200 horses to drift a bug out. It might be too much can't say i've ever drifted a 200 horse bettle though

I've gotten plenty sideways in my 72 super (1776, 105hp) I've even ended up in some dudes front yard. Left some marks and got out fast!

its controling oversteer (rear slides out)

or "The back-end is going faster than the front end" phenomenon.

My father had a Dodge Coronet 440 that would pull 180's when he downshifted to 3rd and punched it while driving at 40mph!

Try asking that in shoptalkforums.com in the type 1 section. There are way more people there than in here for old VW stuff.
