weird guages

have a problem with my gages my fuel guage is now reading full but comes down a little but never to e also my oil guage will go to half way like where it usually stays but will drop to the bottom for about 10 to 15 seconds then right back to middle it only does this in the morning every now and then and only when you first crank up in the morning and never does it the rest of the day could this be a bad guage cluster ,lose ground or what?

hello georgia, yea thats the first thing i'd think also.there could be a service bulliten but without knowning the miles year model.... its hard to say

Sounds like you have a malfunctioning fuel sender unit which is part of the fuel pump assembly located inside the fuel tank. As far as the oil pressure gauge, well, it is not really a gauge but a switch. What you read from the gauge is not the actual pressure but only the presence of adequate pressure. I suspect that the switch, located forward left lower corner of the engine block, is malfunctioning. It is not an expensive device to replace.

is the fuel sending unit hard to replace other than dropping the tank or taking the bed off and if anybody has any info on taking it out would be a big help too

Your're going to have to drop the tank. You'll be replacing the entire assembly, fuel pump and all. Replacement units are readily available from auto parts store such as Pep Boys or Autozone. OEM from dealers is going to cost you.
