wow its been a while
well ill start with a little update k got a new house hit a deer and totaled the grand prix and finnaly got a start on my camaro yeah i know its been 2 years if any of u even remember its an original iroc that im converting to carb 350 550 lift cam flat top 30 over pistons and no heads yet a few good leads on cheap heads turned out to be junk so any tips on heads or what i should look for when i finnaly pull this car out of the trailer or any other comments would be great
o no bashing me for swaping to carb im happy with my coice i dont want to deal with the tpi i have plans to sell or trade it to help fund the project

There are a large number of heads available for your 350. What exactly do you have in mind? Iron? Aluminum? Pump gas (93)? Race gas? Power level desired?

dont care what type of heads of course aluminum would be better 64 cc chamber 202 260 stainles valves would be nice guied plates and screw in studs r a must looking for over 400 horse with out spray around 500 with but i dont want to spend more than 400 bucks

ok i decided to have the factory heads done due to the fact that i want this car on the road this summer and my uncle can do them cheep better springs pin the studs valve job and mabey mill them down a few thou and do some port work this should tide me over till i can save up for some good heads

dont do the factory hheads, brodix ik 200's PN 1021001, summit like 1100$ a teal of a price, same heads im running

in the future i would look at AFR's Eliminator series heads. they have tested extremely well in chevyhiperformance magazine, but cost me 1400 bucks for a pair. sucks for me huh? They did make 523 easy crank horsepower in the magazine ad with a 383 stroker, comp cam, 1.6 rockers and edelbrock intake. so they dont need too much modification. i think they just milled them down a little for some more compression

Well, If you haven't already purchased an intake manifold, I HIGHLY recommend some GM vortec heads. They are more than capable of making 400-450 crankHP. They DO require a Vortec specific intake though. This site will show you some option. I've seen dynos of the SD Votec heads for .600" lift putting out 470hp
