Mostly maintanence, yes. Mostly, the car is at it's prime where parts that haven't been replaced, naturally fail, so this holds true for all makes, anything over 10 years old that doesn't have a whole lot of 'new' parts is a ticking time bomb in my opinion. And when someone says the normal wear and tear items
have been replaced, request receipts or walk away.
Make speceific, unfotunately, f-bodies are finiky and one can perfect for years, and the next can have everything under the sun go wrong, sometimes all at once.
Lastly, since your in school and need something reliable, and
economical in every sense of the word, I'd get something a little more fitting for the situtaion at the time. Especially for 3K, there are some better canidates out there that are virtually gas and go.
In closing, unless you know your way around the toolbox and have a good parts source, overall as a parent, this isn't the right ride for this time in life. You'll find this will apply to other situations as life progresses.
