2000 Deville 4.6L alternator

Anybody had experience with changing an alternator on a 4.6? I knew something must not be too normal when I was quoted over six hundred bucks for a rebuilt. Antifreeze cools this alternator and the radiator has to be removed to get to it? Removing the radiator looks like a daunting task. Any advice other than just having someone else do it? I hate to admit defeat...

Once the radiator is out of the way its a piece of cake.

But removing the radiator IS my problem.

Start by removing the fans. Then remove all the hoses and cooler lines attached to the rad. Then unbolt the A/C Condensor from the rad and pull the radiator out the top.
