Re: 98 z71 wheel locked up

Can you give us more info?

what do you mean by not spinning? Do you mean the wheel will not turn and drags while vehicle is in motion?

Have you jacking the right rear wheel off the ground and tried turning the wheel while transmission is in neutral?

Disk brakes or drum brakes on the rear?

Has the parking brakes been used lately?

Most likely the '98 has rear drums. If so and it was driven in snow and parked with the parking brake on and then froze. Take a hair dryer to it and hope that works.

thanks for the result of wheels locked..what was the cause of failure...wheel bearing /driveshaft seals...or lack of regular maintenance?
