2003 silverado v-6 lifter noise

Hi we just got this 2003 silverado regular cab with the v-6 engine. At first start the lifters make noise for about 45 seconds to a minute. Then it is fine do I need to change the oil pump. the truck has just reached the 100K mark.
The oil level is up to where it should be. (ON THE MARK) Is anybody else familiar with this.

One more thing the RPM gauge is not working.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Auto-rx will get rid of your lifter tick. www.auto-rx.com
Old Oil has crudded up the lifter not allowing it to refill until it loosens up.

Is it just called "Marvel Mystery Oil", or is there some "sub-name"? I use their air tool oil, but havn't noticed this product. I'd like to try some in my 2.4L Pont G/A before I replace the timing chain tensioner.

So I go to this get-together at a friends house, not remembering it's a few days before Halloween. I see a bunch of dirty looking strangers. Then I see a guy that was clearly wearing a Halloween costume and I make the connection, and say "Oh yeah, Halloween... y'all goin' as a group of bums?". Turns out they weren't wearing costumes.

yes thats it . on the container it gives instructions as to how the oil can be used.... as you know i add to my engines crankcase oil a few oz. whenever the engine makes some lifter noises... its safe to use as i have been using it for 20years.....i first learned about it for a friend who was a mercedes engine mechanic and after i tried it i was very satisfied...with the results used in many gm engines with no issues...it does a good job cleaning the sludge/carbon from crank case... i also in the warmer months add 1oz /10gallons of gas whenever i tow my boat.... and i use it in my mercruiser 470 boat engine/gas.....as well when used in the gas it keeps the fuel system clean and reduces corrosion.....lubricates the compression rings when used with the gasoline.....improves compression....advance auto sells it...only problem with this product is when people think more is better ,,,too much will cause problems ,,thats why i always state how much to use ,,as i know these amounts are safe and effective....

on a 6quart oil capacity i would put a maximum of 6oz....,but if you put 3oz. in first and see if this solves problem in 200-300mi ... if not then put another 3oz.....if this does nothing then you have other problems......
