Well, your engine is a 6.0 liter (366 Cu.In.)
How many miles does it have unless its got well over 150k, I wouldnt worry to much about it, and even with that many it shouldnt be an issue.
And for your third question, 2500HD's are a pretty damn well built truck. great motor, great tranny, great rear axle. The front IFS is strong for and IFS (not the greatest of designs for durability), but ball joints, wheel bearing, idler/pitman arms. But these hold up well as long as you are running narrow wheels and normal size tires.
