95 sonoma steering

i need to take off my steering wheel cuz my ignition does noise wen i turn on my truck. it does a humming noise and i can turn on my truck if i put it in drive and shift into park without turning the key

From the manual
1. Disconnect the neg batt cable
2. Use 7 mm socket to remove the steering wheel shroud screws on the underside (back side) of the steering wheel. Detach shroud.
3. Remove the horn contact bushing and spring.
4. Remove the retaining clip and steering wheel retaining nut. A socket and breaker bar will be needed to remove the retaining nut.
5. Mark the steering wheel and steering shaft so the wheel can be reinstalled in the same position
6. Use a steering wheel puller (looks like a bearing puller) to remove the steering wheel from the column.
7. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Suggest picking up a manual at your local parts store.
