u-joint

I own a 99 silverado 3/4 ton and am trying to remove front driveshaft to change out a failed joint. I have removed the keepers at the diff end but can't get it out of housing. I have changed others before and the shaft compressed slightly into the transfer case end so you can get it out of the diff end housing but this one doesn't want to move. Is there something I have missed or do I just have to be more persuasive at the diff end.

You may have to use a little more force...
