Is there a trick to Quick disconnect Fuel Lines on 99 Blazer?

I'm replacing the Fuel Pump and can't get the center and driver side fuel line off the Fuel Pump. The driver side looks like a quick disconnect with the pinch style disconnect but the center looks different. Anyone have tips for getting these off?

Re: Is there a trick to Quick disconnect Fuel Lines on 99 Blazer?

A little tricky to get out; push the line into the receiver end, while maintaining pressure on the line, pinch the two levers of the quik-connect down, then pull the line out.

As for the vent (center line), you can twist that one over it's receptacle end.
It's malleable enough to take some bending, and will just snap back over the tube when you replace it.

When you replace the fuel lines, be sure to get new pinch fittings (Napa sells them separately, 3/8" for the return, 5/16" for the feed line).

Napa also makes the quick release dies mentioned above, if you can't remove them manually. It's about $12.00 for a set of 8 plastic dies (They look like large split coins)

Good luck.

Yea, the first answer you got is correct. Go to the parts store and get a quick disconnect tool. There under 4.00 dollars. but sometimes it's still difficult to get the tool in place because of support around the fuel pump tube. But it will work eventually.
