Remote starters can cause a no-start problem. It's usually not the system itself, but rather a faulty installation. I saw one vehicle where someone had cut and striped the necessary wires from the ignition switch, put in the one that goes to the remote starter, and TWISTED them together. No solder, not even a crimp connector. Just twisted together and taped.
If you have spark and fuel, it's probably not a remote starter issue.
You mentioned starter fluid... does it run off it or did you just try it? Did you check fuel pressure? If it's a vortec, it MUST be 60-67 PSI. Even slightly lower can cause them not to start.
