I've drawn them before, I just can't seem to get this one too look the way I want it. Here is what I'm working with.

Good start.. for an engine, you should know what they look like. I'd just add a manifold and carbs with an air scoop, or a blower. SImply a ribbed box between the valve covers (which you have one of). Your exhaust headers look good. All-in-all, nice start. Robo

look at some reference pics of motors on the same angle ,and imitate them as best you can ,theres bound to be hundreds of similar angled pics on the net

If you can, go to a car show with hot rods like yours and take your time absorbing what is really there. Then take reference pics and make morgue file of them.

For a drawing you won't see all that is there and will not need to represent everything. So simplify what you see but maintain a convincing look.

Things can look cool if you imply some of it rather than showing all of it to exacting detail. It's sometimes what isn't shown that helps define what is there; a paradox.

You have a nice start so far. Good job.

Thanks guys. In case you can't tell from this and other stuff I've posted, I really don't care much for new cars.
