2000 Venture door lock problems

The driver's door on my 2000 Venture won't unlock. I have tried the keyless entry button, the unlock buttons on driver and passenger doors and also the manual switch on the driver's door. I have determined that the lock/unlock signal is getting to the actuator, but I'm afraid that it's broken. I have successfully removed the door panel as far as I can with the door shut and I am able to fit my arm into the door. I can feel the rods that connect to the actuator, but I have no idea what I need to do to actually unlock the door so I can fix it. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Dan
