Re: milky - like substance on dip stick......

Could it possibly be coolant getting into the cylinders/oil? Check the coolant level to see if any is "missing."

Red face Re: milky - like substance on dip stick......

coolant level is ok ...... as for the possibility of blown head gasket, as suggested by marc-o-matic, wouldn't that cause some overheating? it's actually running cold??? I'm sooooo confused. Anyway, thank you both for your ideas!!!

Yes and no if the coolant is low or there is an air pocket the guage can't read properly.(it's a coolant temp. sensor not air temp. sensor)

The reason I mentioned that is the combination of a missfire and milky oil.
Oil turns milky when mixed wilt water/coolant.
You might want to remove and inscect spark plugs, start w/#3
(any sign of water/coolant).
Also the smoke, what color is it,or is it steam/vapor?

Re: milky - like substance on dip stick......

the color smoke is mostly blue/white .....always more smoke when stepping on gas pedal. Sometimes, but not always the smell of rotten eggs is present, and sometimes when stepping on gas I get a moment of hesitation......defintely smoke though, not vapor or steam.....lots of smoke on acceleration..... YUCK!!!
Thank you for your input.

Re: milky - like substance on dip stick......

The milky white substance in the oil you mention is definitely coolant that is getting into the cyilnders. that is usually the cause of the smoke, too.
