The immobiliser red light on the ignition stays on and does not flash or go out.the car won't start straight away eventually after a dozen or so attempts it does start.as the immobiliser keeps cutting the engine off as I wind up the engine

Re: immobiliser problems clio 01-05

i have been having a similiar problem, when i turn the ignition on the immoboliser like flashes constantly then it wont strike up, it is very random, but a friend of mine suggested the key to, and he also said if it does it take the key out lock and unlock it and try again and it seems to work for me.

Re: immobiliser problems clio 01-05

We were advised to disconnect the battery, wait an hour, then re-connect after we had starting problems with our 1.5 Dynamique dci. Worked a treat but radio now will not accept its factory code - you can't win, can you!

Found out we were at fault re radio - problem now fixed. Car still starting no problem as well.
