86, computer controlled carb

got remanufactured carb, wont idle between 500-700,rpm,
how do i set choke, choke vaccuum, does a sensor send a charge to the choke unit to open it when it warms up at a certain degress, i have trouble gettin wat the Haynes manual says, "got any tips" help please

If the carb has an electric choke, the choke heater element receives power after the engine is running, the alternator is charging, and the choke heater relay closes.
