99 Blazer 4.3 fuel pump relay location

My 99 blazer did not start last night. No fuel pump prime. What to go back today and do some checks. Does any body know the location of the fuel pump relay. Haynes does not give a exact location. Search not much help.
Its cold here and want to get it done ASAP. Thanks for your help.

I believe the fuel pump relay is in the glovebox.

Check the underhood fuse panel. On the underside of the lid, it tells the position of each fuse and relay. Just in front of the relay is a single, vacant terminal. That terminal goes directly to the fuel pump. Installing a 10 amp fused jumper wire from battery positive to that terminal should energize the fuel pump continously. You can check if the relay is switching by checking voltage on the terminal. Should have battery voltage for 2 to 3 seconds after the ignition is turned to the run position, and continously when the ignition is in the start position.

Re: 99 Blazer 4.3 fuel pump relay location

Tested relay and was ok. Ran a 10 amp fused jumper wire from battery positive to the terminal next to the relay, pump did not start. Called AAA to get my truck towed. When AAA show up in a pickup truck and asked what the problem was. He went to his truck got a hammer, took my gas cap off and told me to start my truck, when i did he hit the bottom of my gas tank by the fuel pump and my truck started right up. It has been starting ever time so far. Might not be the right way to fix it but i know it is my fuel pump.
So next chance i get time for fuel pump. Thank again for all your help.

Either a poor connection or a dead spot in the pump motor, (which is fairly common). Either way it will involve dropping the fuel tank.
