Guys & gals: who can I trust on the 'net for a rebuilt/etc ORIGINAL SPEC replacement engine for my 1992 CX HB? Tired of paying for head gasket repair that doesn't hold.

Love the gas mileage & pickup on this little red bug! Any suggests as to a credible online source for engines?

Thanks~~~!!

$2,000? I hope that's a B16A, and not a D16.

No offense, but you're smoking crack, that's WAY too much for a D-series. You could easily buy a full B16A or B18B swap for $2,000.

To the original poster: Honestly I have no idea where you'd get a reliable D15B8 online. You might want to think about just buying a D15B7 engine from a junkyard and having it rebuilt for you; those engines are a dime a dozen. And at least then, there would be some kind of warentee involved.
