Anyways so I decided to tackle this project today ... used a how to I found on nwhonda.net, I am sure I have posted it here also. Anyways, I got some dual fillament 1157 sockets from my friends 86 accord (being donated) and wired the fog light switch to the high's, and made it so the blinker uses the lows ... pretty cool.

Fog lamps out, and pics of sockets.

Cut the socket, and added some more wire so I have plenty to work with

I gotta be more careful with the wire cutter

Got the left one wired up now

The car was dirty so I pressure washed the front grille and rims, and washed the rest of the car ... fuckin CA, I would leave the front plate off but would most likely get pulled

looks really good. Keep an eye on the lens, it could start to melt from the light being on too long. nice job though!

91EF3ZC has a point. The lens might melt. or worse yet the actuall wire & harness may melt. (happened to my side markers)

Few night pics, I should try some with the flash off.

And I doubt the housing would melt seeing as I am using a stock bulb.

Not difficult, you can do it one of three ways

1. Using your existing harness, splice and run a wire down from your corner lense so they come on automatically with the headlights

2. Get a dual fillament socket from the brake light of a honda at your local junkyard, and run a wire down from your corner lenses and hook that to one fillament, and the bumper wire to the other (I got mine setup that the blinkers are lows, while fogs are highs, integras come setup reverse of this stock)

3. Using a switch you can make it turn on independently from inside your car, check out how to wire up aftermarket foglights, it follows the same principle.

Oh yea ... my clear corners were stolen, I will get new ones when it is conveinent for me.

Nice job Melt. Keep up the good homemade projects. Which reminds me you need to give me a list of How To's for my hatch. Because I'm on a budget and bored lol. Thanks bro

hey i wish i can do that to my lights, but i am too lazy to do all that wiring and stuff, so i decided to take a picture with my hazards on and good timing :o . Maybe someday i will do it so that it will actually be real cause it looks cool http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/skatemesa1/images/headlights.jpg

Here are a couple of diagrams based on the method to do it.

Single Fillament Diagram
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid52/pddf6b226934d152b7182542c182f4678/fc9c5248.jpg

Fairly self explanitory ... lights will come on with headlights, and when you hit the blinker the appropriate one will blink, while the other stays solid.

Dual Fillament Diagram
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid52/pb3178388796b32fd2660f5895ec0f8bb/fc9c5246.jpg

Also pretty easy, there were three wires coming off my dual socket, ground low beam high beam

low blinks, and the high comes on when the headlights are turned on. You can reverse the wires so low come on with lights and high comes on when you hit the blinker, but then they wouldnt really double as fogs now would they.

ok i skipped through most of your guys replies so if i repeat anything someone said SORRY but yea i did that too h4bangin told me about that shit rewiring it and it took me a while to figure out how to do it but i got it and what i got goin on now is when my lights are on i have my bumper lenses and my projectors so when i follow people at might (friends) they think they lost me cuz my lights look like teg light set up but i dont have the corner lenses on at all they look gay with the projectors but instead they are only used for turn signaling and since it doesnt alternate from bumper to corner when blinking its automatic quick blink ;)
But in case any of you guys have had aproblem similar to this....my turn signals i can use them like once and then they stop blinking and work again for another day or two but then again only for one time and then stop working but so its not my combo switch bcuz i changed that so what else could it be????????
