'00 Grand Am Headlights
I have a 2000 Grand Am SE 2.4L
Last night I was driving and happened to drive through a puddle i wasn't able to dodge it so I slowed down as much as I could so not to obstruct traffic... it was a pretty high traffic area...
About not even 5 minutes later my SVS light comes on. I noticed the light went out. But it started working again. But the lens was fogged now. So I went home and it was out. So I checked the relay, the fuse was blown so I replaced it. Next after checking the lights inside the lens it began light smoking. I shrugged it off as the light being hot and possbile moisture on the inside.
So I leave again later and when I get to my destination I realize the the fuse had blown again. Well when I get back home I remove the broken fuse until morning. Then when I come to check the car both headlights are working again. And the fuse is still removed. Just the drivers side light is very dim.
I went to get a diagnostics test run and there was NO error codes and the SVS light is still on.
The person that ran the test did say that my lens had iodized (i think-- that it was cloudy) though.
Any clue on what the problem may be?
