Got the radio installed (finally) but it says it's "locked". Anyone know how to "unlock"?

have to take it to the dealer to unlock the radio.there is no manuel way to do this,because the radio has to learn the vin number to your vehicle.to do this it has to be unlocked and set up with a tech2 scan tool.no other way around it.
