Hello,

I recently have been trying to buy a used mini cooper online, and I almost been ripped off. I almost loose $3k and for this reason and as a web developer that I'm, I made this one page that explains the details on things to check while looking to buy a car online.

My intention is to inform and educate others about techniques that a con artist uses.

Like on my article said, you may read the original response and see right away that is a scam. However, there is a lot of people that don't know much about internet and felt for it. This page is for those who has not much clue. I got the opportunity to get a scammer and go all the way until he is asking for the money, so I can see how they do it, what they say on their emails, etc.

In my first post i said no comment because I deleted what was I was going to post but now that you carry on with a second post being cocky with your scam, here is how I look at the picture.

1 ) your entry about Jameson Stengel has been around for a few years

2 ) you made this one page ?,,, that's nice,,, and the GOOGLE ad's included in your page about scams where do they come into play ?

3 ) you been posting this page in several forum's like automotive. com just to mention one

4 ) you stand to gain nil should someone click on your google add's ? about scams " yer right "

I must admit your clever with a new angle but with me you leave 2007 going nowhere.
so tell us, why the google add's in the page ???,,, I hope our moderator don't delete your post so all can see what to look out for being scammed by a pro scammer.

PS... your post is valid had you left out Google for personal gain

Happy new year!! Ray, Answering your questions:

1. This is the first time I look into buy a car online, meaning that I had no clue that Jameson Stengel has been around for years. Good to know! Something else I can put on the article.

2. As a web developer, I place google ads on any page I can. Not only helps with some expenses such a server, I also learn about search engines with internal tests that I do. By now, A LOT of people knows google ads and that if you click on it I get a few cents, and??? If you find the information interesting and you click on the ad, I say thank you for your support.

3. Just automitive and this forum, for now. I will try to get to as many forums as possible, so people like me (that we don't know about the Jameson Stangel scam) will quickly find out.

4. Once again, I'm and I will continue adding google ads on avery page I can. See, at this time the ads are not exaclty relevant to the content, this means that I need to modify text to help the ads be relevent with my content. What's wrong with it? You know about google ads, then don't click.

Hey, if you want to look this one page as a money maker for me, then go ahead, I can't prevent you for doing so. I did my homework, I did my investigation and I put a page sharing the information to help others not to fall into something. If this one page save thousands of dollars to someone, like it has, what is it a couple of clicks that I receive here and there? Once again, at the end I'm the one that I have step up and try to alert those who don't know. Why does it has to bother you? If I want to make a money maker site, I would place a payment system in order to download a PDF file with more information, I would put links with affiliate programs, and I would extend the web site a lot more.

I would say the to-good-to-be-true price for the Mini is the first indication of a scam. Kelly Blue Book or Edmunds will be more than happy to guide a prospective buyer (or seller) on a range of prices for a car in various conditions. These sites are just a baromoter, but if the selling price is that far skewed, it is most likely a scam.
