I took all these pictures yesterday. The show is in Anaheim, California. It ends Sunday.
I would be a poor photojournalist... I only take pictures of things I like. I really remember taking more that this, but oh well...
Can you tell what cars I like? :D

Three Ferraris, four Diablos... :D The black Diablo had red trim around the taillights. Super-cool!

Thanks to abstract, I recognized this Alpine edition as such when I saw it. :D
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/799699bluealpine.jpg
And this one (not Alpine ed.) looks like the same color as abstract's car. :)

I was really impressed with the WRX. Really, really. I'm going to test drive one next week. :D
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/198339blueWRX.jpg
They had the WRX rally machine, too...  Awesome!!!

These two Rally Foci are actually the same car... labeled #3 on one side with the #3 drivers, #4 on the other. Nice car, though. I hope it was real, because it lookes as rugged as the WRX.

There is a whole section for souped-up mucle cars, street rods, low riders and lead sleds. Some were really nice and clean:

Chevy has this Mako Shark Sting ray in with its Corvettes. Awesome car, but I was surprised it's only in fair condition...

I think we were the only people to get near the Aztek. And we were laughing the whole time. And, yes, it's ugly on the inside, too. :hehehe:

went to this show earlier today.
I gotta agree on the Ford '49 concept.... I like it better than the tbird, and I got a tbird!
I was pissed you couldn't sit in the porsches, and some of the others.... I mean, it's a freakin' auto show!!
the Infiniti booth said next year for the G35,
and the Nissan chick said at the LA show will be the Z.
Overall, I thought the show was pretty average, but there was a bar and margaritas! So that makes up for anything!:smoka:

We (me and the rest of the Porsche team) let people sit in the Porsches at my college's aut show, but the Benz people and Lexus people were tight and wouldn't let people sit in them.

Thanks for all the great pictures from the Auto Show. Looks like some cool stuff, and there were some aspects, like the muscle cars, that were absent from the NY Auto Show back in April. That sucks!!
I actually saw this cool show of old cars turned hot rods (like 30's and 40's models) up in Vermont on September 22nd with my buddy Ross. Some of them sported the old school HUGE roots blowers!! They looked like easliy 200 cfm units, and they don't use the flat drive belts, but rather cogged belts like timing belts to prevent slipping. Put my puny JRSC M62 to shame!!! And probably the highlight in my book was this old Chrysler with a Viper V10 (although it did seem a little crazy to hook a 450-horse engine up to a 4-speed automatic). It kicked ass. In fact a lot of the cars, besides using large V8's, used very contemporary technology like aftermarket fuel injection systems, MSD ignitions, etc.
kris
I hadn't come across those pictures of the Civic Type R that you posted. Looks "a little nicer" ;) (that's a very sarcastic understatement - though I know with some work, a Civic Si could be dressed up to look very much like that Type R) than the Civic Si we're slated to get.
