Today I just purchased a 1993 Bonneville SSEI. I think I got a pretty good deal on it $3500.00 (CDN). It has 250k but comes with a new transmission (August), water pump (saturday feb 8th,03), starter, altinator, rotors, brakes, power steering hose, and 4 new winter tires. (its snow storming as I type this..so thats a good thing). This car has no rust, never been smoked in etc.

My biggest concern is the high milage of 250k. I need this car to last me for at least 2 years. Has anyone had any engine problems?

When I was looking at the car, a couple drove in and parked next to us driving a 2000 Bonneville SSEI (very nice). I talked to him for a minute or two and he bought a New 93 Bonneville and has never had any problems with it and only sold it this year due to a super great deal on the 2000 model. This is very encouraging and relieving to hear but everyone has differing opinions.

Just treat your car right, maintain it, change the oil every three months or 3000 miles, and make sure you keep it clean.
