h22 to 6G civic swap helpmastr/of/pupets 02-11-2003, 03:42 PM I need some advice on things I'll need for an H22A in a 98 Civic ex. Any suggestions on problems or things I.ll need prior to installation. Thanks! maxspeedhonda 02-13-2003, 05:23 PM Have you researched that any? I thought about the h22a in my civic and decided not to as a daily driver. I went with the B18c rather. Do a search on the pros and cons and see what you come up with. If you cant find anything or decide to stick with the swap let me know mastr/of/pupets 02-14-2003, 03:09 PM The more I think about it the less I want the heavy h22 for a daily driver. My other option is the b18c1 or c5 or b16b (CTR)!!!!! I would love the CTR motor. I mainly want to compete in some road races with the occasional street race. How much did you get your b18? Was there a significant difference in power? Weight? I and my buds will put the motor in a our shop, so no worries about labor. maxspeedhonda 02-15-2003, 09:47 AM You should be able to get the b18c for somewhere in the area of 2500-3500 depending on where you get it. I paid 3800 for motor and installation. The b18c5 will run you at least 5000 and and i dont know about the ctr. Anyof these would be an excellent application for you but if you plan to turbo id stay away from the itr. maxspeedhonda 02-15-2003, 09:49 AM Originally posted by mastr/of/pupets Was there a significant difference in power? And as for power, the difference is night and day. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
