What kind of paint you used?
What's on the body? What's the clear coat?
Enamel, Acrylic or Polyurethane?

You didn't wait long enough for the paint to gas out before putting clearcoat.

Two things come to mind....
1/Acouple of days after painting is not long enough before you clear coat. You need to wait at least 12-14 days to allow the paint to harden IMO
2/ Different brands of paint dont work together. What did you use?

It sounds like you put Laquer based clear over an Enamel paint.
