Hyundai Accent WRC

Following the rather disappointing news of Tamiya releasing YET ANOTHER Peugeot 206 kit, some good news on the rally front. Reji are releasing a Hyundai Accent WRC 2002 version, this is the same make as the Skoda kit that I built a few months ago and the quality was rather dubious but beggars can't be choosers. Unfortunately no pics yet though but there are a couple of links.

http://www.automobilminiaturen.de/RE...43/rc_r43.html

The second link is to a post on the Freddy Loix forum about the kit but I think it is in Dutch and I can't read it, they mention something at the bottom about Rallye Deutschland, anyone help??

I'm looking forward to this one too. Of course being a Reji kit one's expectations shouldn't be too high. As long as the decals are printed well I'll be happy.

The Deutschland reference might be because the kit is supposed to be from that rally, according to Wong at MediaMix.

Also looking forward to getting my hands on some of their short wheelbase Audi Quattro kits, particularly the big winged S1.

And what the hell does this quote mean in one of the sigs on the Loix forum

Rally is not a crime
makinen is a crime

Probably makes some kind of sense if you only speak Dutch!

Translated it a bit.

---------------------------------------------

I've got good news for the fans of Hyundai.
I am an employee of Domino (it's a Belgian model car shop [marco_wrc]) and a new model will be released, a Hyundai 2002 scale 1:24.
The kit will be made of resin completely, and will cost about 100 euro.
The production will be limited: 150 and Domino ordered 20. So if you want it, order it.
For more information visit our site www.dominomodel.be or visit our shop. In our shop we have ofcourse the Hyundai of Loix, scale 1:43 by Ixo for only 35 euro.

na wat research heb ik wat meer nieuws over de kit van reju model.
Het zal dus deze wagen worden:
Hyundai Accent WRC, Deutschland rally 2002

---------------------------------------------
After a little bit of research I discovered more about this reji model.
It will be this car:
Hyundai Accent WRC, Deutschland rally 2002

Thumbs up That's good news!

Hey Steve,

Indeed, better hurry before they're all gone! I've got the reference materials for tha kit on my site. Here are some examples.

The rest is on Automotomover in the Walk Around Picture Gallery.

Cheers,
Guido

Excellent Guido,

I sent Wong at mediamix an e-mail on Saturday, he has some on order and has reserved one for me.

Have you ever built a Reji kit before, don't expect too much, Tamiya quality they certainly are not but as I said before beggars can't be choosers.

I've never build a Reji kit before no, but kinda know what to expect. I've seen their Skoda and Porsche in the shop lately, but wasn't to impressed. However it's not gonna be my first resin kit. Did some Renaissance kits in 1/43rd before. But you're right about the beggars thing.
