Question Cold weather?? No spark??

I have a 1986 Caprice, 305, 4bbl that won't start. Car was running fine, then we had a very cold night, next morning no start. That was 3 days ago. Since then I've replaced the dist cap and rotor, new plugs and dropped some dry gas in the tank. Motor turns when key engaged, however, it stops cold when key disengaged. Any ideas?

Sounds like moisture in the fuel line(not tank) to me. A can of heat won't fix this problem.. You will just have to set it out, or move it into a garage overnight.

That was going to be one of my next steps to have it moved to a garage.... Hopefully it will warm up enough in the next few days so I won't have to pay towing charges. Thanks for the quick response!!!

Talking **Update**

Car is running!!!! We ended up having to change the coil and vroooommm...car started. It's running a bit rough right now cause the timing needs to be set, but that's minor. We should have that done tomorrow. It will be tricky as the guide that's supposed to be on the car isn't there. :flash: Just glad to have my car on the road again!!!!
