Help

I have a '94 Honda Passport. The problem is that when I start it up something squeals heinously loud until I rev the engine really hard. I find that if I pump the brake and gas before I start it, it doesn't do it for as long. It also seems to get worse in colder weather. I thought it might have been just a belt, but I took it to Goodyear and they said all the belts looked fine and they even tightened 'em a little more, but the squealing persisted. I don't know what the problem is. I got a remanufactured starter put in awhile ago and the squealing started not long after that was put in, so I don't know if that had any affect. And just to throw things out there, I have a sound system in my car with a 1200W amp that puts a mean draw on my electrical system I think, but I don't know if that has any affect either. Any ideas on what could be the problem would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try spraying belt dressing on the belts. It sounds like belts to me. Even if there is good tension on a belt, it can still squeal.
