are there no other tundra owners out there? my mom has a sr5 with v8 4x4 and four door. nobody else?

i got a new tundra just 3 weeks ago. It was a present from my parents.

it is a 2000 Tundra SR-5 2WD. i wish it was the TRD 4x4 so i can go muddin with my buddies but instead i just ride shotgun in his tacoma w/ 4"suspension lift and 32" tires.

im planning to put a TRD air filter, TRD headers, and the TRD cat back exaust. ( www.trdusa.com )and im crossing my fingers to see if they are gonna make the TRD Supercharger for my V8. that would be fun, im alreading beating a handful of chevy ford and dodge, but of corse there are some that blew me away@!... but with the blower and some other tweeks it should be a good roadrunner...

Im thinking about 17" wheels with street rubber and a 3/4 drop kit on it...

and MAYBE in a year ill shoot some nitrous...

and i want other tundra owners to speak up too , i just want some other feed back on wat and how to do shit on my truck thanks

Take it easy turbo its a truck. You should have considered a car if your so crazy about racing. I mean, yeah tundra is fast but the guys that race cars usually have faster cars to race. anyways good luck with blowing your motor.

And by the way, My dad might be getting me a v6 SR5 and he is getting himself the v8 version and so i thought I would check out this forum, its pretty lame compared to Maxima, what i use to drive and the Rx300 which is what I am driving. Anyhow, laters

i have a 1992 Acura Integra GS-R that i am trying to sell, cause as time went by i just got bored of it.

i lowered it, intake and exaust, Wings west ground effect, custom green color, 17" ADR wheels w/nitto 450 , a kick ass JL Audio and Alpine system, and a momo shift knob.

it was fun and ok, but i wanted another project, a vehicle that hasnt been modified too much. My integra around here is so played out. that it looks like the rest.

so the end result was my Tundra and goodbye integra. once i sell the acura. im getting JBA headers, TRD drop in air filter, and maybe either Flowmaster or TRD cat-back exaust to start.

i found out that Vortech the supercharger company is going to make a blower for my truck!! i guess they didnt show info..( http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/ ). but i have my fingers crossed! and the owner of Axis wheels has a Tundra with a prototype blower for my truck ( http://axiswheels.com/gallery/ax60.jpg )

And rite now im racing other trucks... its fun to see their faces :o when i kick their ass. except for this one old chevy that i raced on the highway going to dallas.. we accelerated at the same time but in about 5 sec he was 6 car length away from me , then i was like " DAMNMIT!!!!" so i need more power to catch that truck!!

there is a performance shop around my house , that has a 2000 Toy Tacoma v6 w/ all of the TRD equipment (supercharger!!) and it ran the quarter in 14.0 flat, and he had time slips to prove it. if u want i could sent pics just give me ur email address or aol screen name

yea, Maximas are badd ass, i want a ride in the Supercharged MAxima in the movie fast and the furious

later

have you heard any exhausts for the tundra? my moms looking but i haven't seen any other tundras around here that are modded.

btw, what cars/trucks have you killed so far,and have you ran the 1/4 yet? just interested. :p

PaulsNewTundra

go to www.trd.com and look around on their site . They make a drop in filter, header , and exaust for the 2000+ tundra V8.

on the highway- 4 chevy 92-99 silverado, 4 integras 92-99, and a AutoShift 2000 Prelude.

i havent ran the 1/4 yet cause i know the time will be slow, i want to wait when i get some parts then ill run the truck stock, slap all of the stufff on there then run it again. And there is a dyno shop near by and ill keep u updated if anything happens , peace

Makes you a bit of a spoiled brat, doesn't it? What, you from Irvine? Newport?

I'll bet you're from F-ing Cerritos or Santa Ana (oh wait, people there think they're from Costa Mesa or Newport).

I'll cry you a river when you make your OWN truck payments, pay your OWN mortgage, and have to work for EVERY penny that you spend (including your fast food and clothes).

Close to Irvine, I live in Aliso Viejo, and by the way, the County is ranked like top in the nation for wealth. Anyways, my dad just belives in buying his kids things, therefore I am spoiled and the money I make, could be used for car payments, but he doesnt want me to worry about that shit right now, thanx for your concern...=)

I've got an '02 Tundra limited access cab. Leather, TRD package, 4x4 and LSD. White with Oak interior. Beautiful, rides great, fair sounds, couldn't be happier with any other truck. Just put a snugtop SS camper shell on the back and a bedrug inside the bed. Dream truck. Doin' my first oil change tonight at 1300 miles. Planning on also disconnecting the daytime running lights. Future plans; adding a helwig anti-sway bar to the rear, better sounding exhaust system and raising the front up about 1-2" to level it out (they come on a rake from the factory).

Anyone considering buying one..........just do it. As I said, I couldn't be happier. Lots of power, plenty of goodies, happy happy. Later.........;)

Get tired of TS? Good ol Lon never did email me back after he shut down the thread and poll about "should TS be for free?". Members made some great points about why it should be, and all the moderators had to say was that everybody was whining about the 12 bucks. What a bunch of horses$$$. It's sad that Lon turned out to be a jerk :flipa:. I'll keep going back to that site for the benefit of Tundra owners only. And maybe we can get some heads turned this way (this seems like it could be a good site if only some of the punk looky loos would find another place to play).

And what's up with you being down on Dogpaws? He's pretty cool as far as I know....here's a chance for you to kiss and make up!

Anyway, I sure hope we can help make this forum grow. I'll do my part by passing along lessons learned and stuff. TS is a good site but Lon really, really sucks. I think he's part (or most) commie.

Welcome aboard. Couldn't agree more about TS. Don't know why some folks can't listen to reason but that's not my problem. Don't know what Bronson's problem is but apparently some of the folks at TS dislike me for my suggestions. I thought I made fair arguments. I certainly never stooped to name-calling. Either way, I'm sure people will come around after a while. I've noticed Tacoma Territory has folks leaving their site and coming to the Tacoma section of AF. Guess time will tell.

Toyota Motors is planning on building their engine plant in Huntsville Alabama next year. I don't know if that's just engine assembly or if the parts will also be made here.

I think they've found that it's a whole bunch cheaper to export parts over here than to pay the export fees for completed cars.

Anyway, that's my 3 cents.

HAHA, JBL.

I've seen your same handle at the TS site, right? I've been coming over here because of the way they've been running that website lately and because they've locked up information given freely by members as a pay only view. To me, that's immoral. If they had paid for that information, that's one thing.

What I and some other members want to do is to start building up this website with information and hopefully others will chime in and do the same. The idea here is to share information for each others benefit, NOT to turn it into a profit monster and hide information unless you pay for it.

If you agree, then please help out by adding helpful information in new threads. I kicked it off the other day with a thread called "Handy Hint 1.0; Oil changes".

Hope that was worth the other cent......

Anyway, do whatever you can to help add good info that you've learned about your Tundra to THIS website if you would. Nice trucks, eh? This is a very interesting topic we have here. You complain about the website www.tundrasoloutions.com yet you now stand up for it, after as quoted by you: "TS is a good site but Lon really, really sucks. I think he's part (or most) commie."

You sound like an extremely confused man, or very two faced. As I too am a TS Supporter on that site, I recall that you presently go by the TS ID Cloud 9, if I read that correctly in the General Chat Forum.

I too read DragonLady's posting here, it sounded to me as if you were hitting on her.

Good Morning DragonLady,

Yes that information is correct. I too do not post much at all on TS, put I find the information there very intereting to read.

I just got so upset seeing that guy make such a rude comment to a lady. I must agree with you as to his marital status, or if so I hope his wife is not mentally abused.

Some of these young punks, do not know how to speak correctly to a lady. I lost my wife and not a day goes by that I do not miss her. I may be old, but never in my day have or ever will disrespect any ladies.

God Bless You,

Hey Tinman and Maia; Isn't it just a teeny bit RUDE to start slamming someone when you 1) don't even have the stories straight, 2) don't know the whys or the person at all and/or 3) don't bother to even ask them? You sure seem to have some obvious hidden agendas in this forum. Trying to drive people out of it because you have some interest in the other forum would be my guess, because you can't be as shallow as it appears, least, I wouldn't want to think that of you. You must have some reason for being the way you are. Whatever it is, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

FACT: I came here to contribute and to share and to try to improve the website. To help build it up with technical help as best I could from lessons learned on my new Tundra. You might note I started a thread called "handy hints", and I believe only one other member (Dogpawz) joined in to add to it (thank you).

FACT: Absolutely true that I was disgruntled with something the another website owner had done on his site a few months ago, so I came over here to try to get people to pitch in with info on their trucks. Absolutely true that, because this forum has no effort from any of it's members to share info with others or pass on lessons learned, I tucked tail and returned to the other forum to spend my time learning about my truck and sharing my learnings with others. My main intent coming here was to help out other Tundra owners, and perhaps thru some lighthearted chat, learn a little about each other and maybe even create new friendships, or at least share a couple grins. That's it. Yep, I'm honest enough to tuck my tail and admit I made a mistake when I need to.

FACT; So what are the returns on my time invested in adding lessons learned on my Tundra: TinMan called me two faced and confused. Really! All I can surmise is that type of thinking must've been his mode-of-operendi when his wife or kids changed their mind about any venture they undertook, or a mistake that they made. Sorry pal, but changing your mind or throwing your Tundra in reverse does not make you two faced. Had I continued to feel the way I did AND continue to support that other forum, now, THAT would be two-faced. But that's not what occured. And what's with the name calling? I have every right to be doing more than my share of name calling back at you and a couple others, but I won't drop to that level of slimeball and stink. Additionally, I never recall stating that anyone anywhere sucked and was a commie. Saying someone wrote something and not being able to produce it is slanderous and destructive. And Maia, for your own sake, please get a sense of humor, K? If you can't see the difference between when someone is kidding around or hitting on you, then you need to consider that there in fact IS a HUGE difference (both my kidding in personal posts about "studly" qualities, and "hitting" on you........., BOTH PMs kidding but you took them both as serious, and that's a fact in spite of how you want to read that). Although you even posted this, I guess you just plain missed the part where I said "in fun", didn't you? Please don't take things so serious or to heart when that isn't their intention, you'll have a much more fullfilling life if you understand it has a light side to it.

LESSON LEARNED; I've learned that the people in the other forum are what truly make it what it is, and I'd say the same goes for this forum. There's people here that only use this forum as a chat room, and those same people have contributed NOTHING of any value to others visiting here.

FACT: Here's a sample of a small mind trying to make something out of nothing; Tinman making an issue of a namechange! That's of interest to him? Why? I changed my handle to Cloud9 in that other forum for one reason; because we had an opportunity to change names when they changed the web software. And made no attempt to hide that, in fact, as you plainly pointed out, I ANNOUNCED it so people would know that. I have nothing at all to hide, but ol Tinman and other nasties in this forum can't say the same, can they? What's that.....Tinman, you're from OZ? Really. The real question here is why do some people in this forum choose to hide, to be anonymous? Answer; because they have something personal to hide. Like having no honor or integrity. And, they're AFRAID someone might get upset with their lies and locate them personally. It's so easy to be brave from a distance (on the internet). It's so easy to mouth off and slander when there are no consequences (other than a rebuttal post), isn't it? I will say that whoever feels the need to talk trash about me (or anyone else for that matter), my morals, convictions or anyone I care about, then I invite you to have the guts to do it in person, where we can "interface" in real time, K? If not, then shut up and quit slamming people without reason. Better idea.......why don't you just try to be nice and quit slamming people anyway? Talk about two-faced, Tinman slams then signs off with "God bless". How hypocritical can you get......

FACT; If anyone wants a sample of honest enthusiasm that I and others have for our trucks and the positive help and time which people are willing to give to promote sharing lessons learned and just plain good will and camaraderie with others, go sample/visit the Calif. Forum, "springbreak beachjam at Dockweiler" thread at that other forum, where you'll see that I took the lead in coordinating a Tundra beachjam a couple of weeks ago. As of right now, in fact, it is the most read thread (approx. 200 posts and over 3,000 views) in that entire website.

FACT: It only takes a few rotten apples to spoil the whole barrel.

I hope that a couple of you are real proud of yourselves or chasing off someone who was trying to help build this forum with useful information. Remember that what goes around, comes around........
