For those of you that like conversions, do you have any suggestions on what lights to go with? I was thinking about the Nissan Stagea headlights (car over in Japan) but it seems like those lights might be hard to get, so now I'm thinking of Silvia S15, Lexus GS 400, maybe the Jaguar S Type, BMW heads...anyone have any other suggestions??

Hmm...definite yes on the Lexus lights...and the second BMW lights...not real big on the R34 Skyline lights...but not bad though...the Cadillac CTS...mmm...I don't know...they are nice, but I'm not sure how they'd look on a civicl. What kind of car is the second to last car?

Well I'm definitely getting the BMW lights. I'm sure quite a few models share the same lights, but the car my mom has is the 325xi and that's the ones I'm getting. I'm not getting the Xenon ones though, so they're MUCH cheaper than I thought they were.

i say you should get the 7 series lights, the 3 series are kinda weak and cheap, i think.

if anything dont do s15 the s15 conversion, its becomming to common, everyone has a pair, my suggestion is the top part of the new 2000-2002 MERCEDES ML55 SUV R/HEADLIGHT...

I change my mind on those suggestions those are weak compared to the headlights that the cars in europe have, the citroens, renaults, and pegeut(i dont know how to speel that one). before you get the bmw light i suggest you check out those companies.

Welp...they already came in and they're so beautiful:) Well I think the pic I put up of the BMW...the lights I'm getting are the same but a little smaller. Mine are from the 3 series.

I actually dropped the car off at the bodyshop on Monday. I'm in Colorado right now and I'll be home on Wednesday, so hopefully the car will be done, or close to it, by the time I get home. For right now, he's just putting on the new fenders, cf hood, headlights and front bumper. I kind of regret getting a carbon fiber hood now. I didn't really think I'd be doing a headlight conversion this soon. I'd rather have just gone with an aftermarket fiberglass one.

Once the car is done, we'll take a look at it and decide if we'll do anymore. Besides messing with the doors, suicide and lambo style, I might go with some M3 style mirrors, R33 skyline taillight conversion and some fender flares; the kind that just go right around the wheel well:)

yo civiclx where are u getting the funds for all this? and why u always out of town if its not japan its somehwere else. what career do u have?

As for the cost, I think the guy normally charges around $700 for a headlight conversion, but I gave him a Mugen strut tower bar so he's only charging me $400 for the conversion. Too be honest, I'm not sure how much the total is going to be. We never really talked too much about the total price. I'm sure he'll hook it up though.
As for getting my money, well I'm getting unemployment. I know; I'm a bum:D I was in Japan for the Marine Corp and now I'm in Colorado visiting a friend.

Well a little update. I called the body guy today and I got the wrong turn signals. I guess they're from a different model BMW then I got the headlights from, so they're not matching up. Then my body guy got me a cheap, used cf hood for $100. Reason being is that he didn't wanna have to cut up my nice new Fiber Images carbon fiber hood. Problem is, now I'm stuck with my FI hood that I paid a lot for, and I've got a used hood on my car. I mean, I don't have alot of parts on my car, but I got them all new. I'm just not into putting used parts on my car. If I can't afford new parts, then I guess I'm assed out.

As for the GS400 headlights, those are hella sick, as well as the Silvia headlights.
And for where I'm at, I'm back in NoCal right now. About an hour or so below Sacramento.

so what are you going to do mike about the lights? are they still going to work or no? i am sure that everyone here is like me in the fact that we all hate you and we want your car, but pictures will do i guess.:finger:

LOL Well I guess the motorsports shop I got the lights from is going to have BMW exchange. Hopefully everything will turn out alright. I'm gonna try and swing by the body shop tomorrow. I got back from Colorado early.

Damn u I was thinking of doing an M3 head light conversion on my car, those are the head lights your putting in right? Anyway how much were they? Did you have to get the wiring harness's with them? I'm pretty sure I could do the head light conversion I just wasn't sure about the wiring, anyway yes post pics I'm interested to see what they look like

Well I saw the car yesterday, Monday, and it's pretty cut up. Like I said, the turn signals weren't fitting up to the main headlight assembly, so I'm going to pick the new ones up tomorrow from BMW. As for the car, the front bumper, fenders and hood were put on. My body guy is working on putting the headlights in today so I can pick the car up tonight. He's going out of town tomorrow for a few days, so I want my car to drive while he's gone. It's a probably a week away from being done.
I'll try to take some pics today, but just to warn you, the car will be lookin pretty booty:o

Like I said before, once we get the front done, I'll then decide if I wanna mess with anything else like taillight conversion, fender flares and M3 style mirrors:)

Well I'll try to get pics soon. I have to finish off the roll of film, which is about 20 more pics. I'll either do it on Friday, or wait and finish it off at Hot Import Nights in San Mateo.
Man I kind of wish I...well...I don't know. Kind of sucks though; it looks like I have some shit on the inside of the lights...not on the outside so I can just wipe it off, but actually on the inside of the lens which pisses me off. I also think the driver's side light got mounted a little bit off, because the light is shining way high and to the left. You should see it blind drivers when they're driving towards me:D I tape the lights off during the day so bugs and shit won't get all over them, but I don't know if it's working that well. I was surprised how dirty they were when I took the tape off tonight.
Bottom line though, I just hope it looks good when it's done. Like the headlights came stock on the car.

Yeah, yeah yeah post em. I just got my head lights last week but I have to wait until I fix my car to start on it. I screwed up my trans last week racing a 5.0 mustang, hehehe, I still beat him though :D But I paid for it though. Anyway I'll post some pics of my car when I get my headlights in but it won't be for a little while I have to finish a bunch of other projects first, peace......

Naw, I have a feeling they're too hard to get here in the states...Not like Nissan Skyline or Silvia headlights which are pretty easy to get stateside.

We're going with BMW 3 series headlights and grills.
