New paint

wats up everyone. well i have a 97 civic w/ a 99 front end on it (yet to be painted) and i plan on painting the car very soon and i want some insight from fellow AF'ers. I'm doing an exterior-wise Si conversion. so just imagine a 99-00 si. thanks a lot if you vote. i'll post before and after pics after i paint it.......

Oh yea since this is a big issue for me. I can get Any toyota/lexus paint for a cheap price so if what you prefer isn't on the list you can add any toyota/lexus color that you want that might look nice on the civic....thanks

Don't you know, it's 10 hp for every sticker, 50 hp extra for every additional inch of rear spoiler behond stock height.

I know it's not on the list, but SI blue.
but out of the choices on your list I'm going to go with the black.

really depends what colour you want YOUR car to be

but if i were to choose the colour, it would be

black = Flamenco Black
white = championship white
red = milano red
yellow = phoenix yellow

also seen some nice green too, i'm not exactly sure the colour code thought, dark olive green is what i can best describe it as

ahhhhh......i HATE the Si blue. it's so played out. i've seen accords, crx's, integras w/ that color. plus i really don't like it that much. haha but thanks for you input anyways!!!! :finger: ....i know it's up to me but i just wanted to see wat others might think. i'm personally leaning toward the graphite gray pearl just because it's sorta unique. it's a dark almost black gunmetal that comes on the lexus is300. it's sexy.......

just out of curiousity how much did the conversion cost you? I have a 97 civic and I had planned on doing the exact same thing.

my vote: black

well i paid for parts only and that came to about 600 bucks for me brand new. i got the hood, fenders, lights, bumper, grill. i bought an Si lip later on but it got stolen .....the install is quite easy except my bumper doesn't fit perfectly as of now.... everything else was pretty straightforward.....

i dunno about the GGP being "unique" anymore...
everybody seems to be getting that color nowadays (including myself!!)

it's a beautiful color indeed but if the only reason ur leaning toward GGP is cos it's "unique".. well, then.. u might wanna look into another color

o, btw... keeping the GGP clean is a b*tch!! it gets dirty real quick, and i end up washing my car at least once a week cos i cant STAND the dirtiness....cos when it gets dirty/dusty.. it makes the car look BROWNish..

i personally say.. go w/ champ white!! u can never go wrong w/ that color. but it's not on ur list :o

good luck on ur search for ur perfect color~

i would go with the graphite grey pearl!! it looks pretty nice. makes your car great for show and gives it a mean look. i just put my car in the shop to paint it that color.

I'm a big Fan OF House of Kolors, but it is expensive, also the bronze color on the Nissan 350Z is the shit. That gun metal sounds like it would come out nice though, it really doesn't matter the color if the paint comes out good any color looks nice
